Our Intervention in the Universities of Turin
We executed an energy efficiency improvement project aimed at the existing buildings and facilities on the University of Turin campuses in Grugliasco (Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine) and Turin (Faculty of Psychology). This project involved the deployment of LED DALI lamps and cutting-edge sensors. Our initial focus was on comprehensive lighting design to meet the parameters specified by the current UNI 12464-1 Regulations for these locations. Subsequently, we identified suitable materials for installation. The goals of the university campuses were to reduce electricity consumption in the facilities while ensuring adequate visual comfort and facilitating the efficient management of lighting systems.
Energy savings were realized not only in classrooms but also in offices and secondary areas, including restrooms. This was accomplished through the use of sensors equipped with intelligent algorithms that can automatically adjust the lighting. Additionally, Saedo replaced LED lamps in parking areas and associated facilities on the university campuses. This pilot project aligns perfectly with energy efficiency directives outlined in European standards.
